Knitting galore

This here is a scarf I started working on that I was plannin on giving to my sister since her favorite color is green but I cant get the sides to stop from curling in so I kinda gave up on the scarf and ill try the design again later once I figure out how to make the scarf look good. It actually reminds me of an old school high school varsity jersey. I'm thinking i might [when I get way better] make one sweater to go with this scarf design and wear them together. It would be tottaly cute... haha or at least i think so.

So last night I finished the neck warmer thing. And I really like it, I think I'm going to make one for my crafty swap. Anyway, I'm working on a little simple belt to go with it which I am hoping I will finish tonight so I can wear it all tomorrow. Unfortunately I think ill have to wait until next Tuesday cause I have a LOT of homework that I have to do.

In additon im thinking I might make a few of these and sell them on etsy. Do you think they are worthy of selling/ buying?

THEN!! im also working on a purple Beret, but I'm having a hard time doing it so i dont think ill finish that anytime soon. If I do and I get good at it ill make some and try to sell them.
I really need money for my crafts [and most importantly school] OH OH OH, i saw this sewing machine at the store the other day for 140 dollars and im SO going to save up to get it. I really wish fabric wasnt so expensive though.

Anyway, Taa-taa for now, I really need to work on my homework.

Swap swap swap, buttons, ribbons and books

Okay, NEWS FLASH!! Oh wait its more like a simple update. So first off I have sent out three of my swaps. Two of them yesterday morning and one the day before. They would have all been sent out on.. Monday if the silly mail man would have picked up the mail. BUT NO!! Anyway, I guess I should add some pictures of what the other two swaps are.

Okay for the Newbie profile surprise swap I got my partner some books for her and her son and some ribbon, cardstock, buttons, and brads. I really hope she likes is.

Then for my ribbons and buttons swap I gave my partner two extra 3 yards of ribbon and six matching buttons for each instead of three. She said she likes purple and black so those are the colors I choose and I made the little thing for the ribbons myself.

I cant wait till she gets them and tells me what she thinks.

Then today I sent my blog swap buddies a link to my blog and Im hoping they will come and watch my blog.

Swap partners: I hope you like my blog :]

Next post will be about some of my knitting projects, I actually finished one that I like!! :]

Button swap & New Yarn

Button swap mail to the rescue!! WHOOO!! Okay, so I know I had planned to put all of her buttons in a cute little box that I mad; but i've been moving and I dont have the time to go to the post office, and since I want her to get her swap asap, im sending everything in an envalope. Plus this way its easy to include the note and I added two red cardstock cards for her to make cards with.

I really really really hope she likes it. I tried to write cute nice stuff on the back so that when she looks, it will make her smile. Or at lest thats the plan. I mean, who doesnt like seeing something nice in the mail other then bills....

Tomorrow im ganna put it in the mail box and hopefully the mail man will pick it up :]

ALSO, i got some really nice yarn for like two bucks each and some new knitting needles to go with 'em. I got three for me and one for my sister. Im ganna make her a nice scarf with it. Unfortunatly I still need to go to beverlys to get the yarn I was using for the scarf I was already making.

Oh well.

Im ganna go try to make something.

February 29 2009

Okay, so my roommate says "I've adopted a cereal disposable machine and three poop factories", kinda a lot to say about someone and their pets but i must admit its true; in one week I've eaten one of those really big generic bags of fruity pebbles that you get at cheap stores and tomorrow I'm going to go to the store to get yet another bag.

Then my roommate keeps saying, "why dont you just eat the oatmeal without sugar like adults do", well yea sure I am legally an adult but I'm sure no matter what I'm going to continue to seem like a child if I have to smuggle sugar into my apartment. Maybe if I get some Splenda type fat free sugar my roommate will quit bugging me about it.

On another note my bed is comming over today and although its not painted yet I am going to put it together so that my room will be some what complete. Im sure its ganna be a little while until the weather allows me to paint my bed anyway, and im a little lazy.

While I was going through my stuff i've been seeing a lot of things that would be pretty neet to swap. Old kids books like goosebumps, some novels, some mangas. And im sure im ganna come across a lot more. Im thinking I might put some pictures up so that people can just let me know what they want and we can swap that way. I feel like ill regret it though when I get older and have kids.

Oh, shoot. I should go put away the blow up mattress since my mattress is here now. Ill be back in a quicky and maybe ill upload some images.

Taa-taa for now :]

Button Swap

Hey hey hey hey!! I've actually put together my swap for my partner already. This is my first swap at Swap-bot.com so I am sooo excited. Unfortunately i'm going to be moving this weekend and dont think ill be able to send it until Monday or maybe even Tuesday. Anyway, here are some pictures of what I have so far, I keep on adding things so it might change or it might stay the same.

For the swap you had to give your partner 20 buttons. My parners favorite color is red so I tried to find a bunch of red buttons. She likes vintage buttons [which I had a hard time finding anything for that I liked but she said she also likes buttons in any color shape or size]. Since she does paper crafts I added 18 brads and 2 feet of ribbon [which im running out of or else I would have given her more] I added 30 small buttons and12 big ones. Then I put them all in a little box that I made out of cardstock, verry simple.

Im planning on adding a cute little note inside of it. I really hope she likes it since it is my first swap. And i want to send it NOW, but I know I wont be able to which makes me so sad. I've never actually mailed anything so I have no clue how its going to work. But ive got 10 extra dollars so im sure ill have enough to pay for sending it.

Anyway, ill be back with any updates to what ever I may or may not have added.

Did my hair today

Okay, my hair has been curly for a few weeks now maybe even a few months and i've been just keeping it up in a bun. Now its time for my hair to breath, not only because it soooooo much easier dealing with my hair when its straight but also because it looks so much better and gives my hair a break from harsh water treatment.

Yeah, I know it seems hard to believe but too much water makes my hair all dry and after I streigtened my hair I could see the damage in the ends. I really need to find something to help hydrate my hair and make it silky and strong. I wish hair products actually worked the way they try to make it sound. I really want my hair to be long and strong and nothing works.

Also if you know of something to glamorize my curls other then the oh so terrible gel, PLEASE let me know.

Anyway, before picture above; I haddent even brushed my hair yet. After picture below; I actually took a shower before I did my hair and popped on the same shirt. You really shouldnt streighten your hair without washing it first.

Hope you enjoyed my before and after pictures :]
See Ya!

Swap-Bot & Pen Pals & Knitting

Yesterday I was going to put up a post about swap-bot.com which I joined recently. So far I am totally in love with it, I wish that I had a lot of money to send people some really great gifts. I figure that if anything I'm going to try to join most craft swaps so that I can give my best without breaking the bank [which is unfortunately empty].

Anyway, I joined a button swap and I am supper excited about figuring out who my partner is because I have a whole bunch of buttons [sneak preview above], I think I might add some brads and ribbons to theirs. Also, I was thinking about making a Friendship book so that I can get some pen pals and such but I am a little skeptical of giving a lot of people my information. I suppose I should ask my "roomie" what they think about it.

In addition, although it is my mothers birthday today, my mom said that in a month and a half or so she will try to get me a sewing machine since I am totally into crafts and stuff. I am think that I will save a lot of money if I make my bags a long with other things, myself. I am super siked about it, I wish she could just get it for me now.

Also with a sewing machine I can make cute stuffed animals and sell them on an etsy type site... or just make them for myself and to give out as gifts. I am sure I will think of some super cool things to make.

Now the big news is that as I was moving things I looked trough my yarn stash and saw a few of my old projects which just made me want to make some new ones and last night I looked up how to cable stitch so I am working on a scarf. My plan is to make a really cute one for me and then maybe make a few extras for gifts or to sell.

I really need to think of some ways to makes some money. If you have any idea's you should so let me know. Also if you have ideas for my Blog, i would love that as well.
